Engines arrive for decommissioned V2v ferry

The V2V Empress is one step closer to resuming service.

Two new engines arrive this afternoon at Point Hope Maritime where they will be tested and installed in the ship. After the vessel undergoes sea trials, the company will begin winter service.

Engine problems put the vessel out of commission in August. A timeline for when they will resume operations has not been updated from the previous estimate of mid-December.
