Sooke’s dynamic ice dance duo, Pilar and Leonardo Maekawa, skate at SEAPARC Saturday, March 23 as part of a fundraiser to help cover the costs of this year’s Olympic training. The brother-sister pair hope to represent their home country of Mexico at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. They will be holding another fundraiser, this time in the form of a Mexican buffet, Saturday, April 6 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall (4040 Nelthorpe St, Victoria). Tickets are $25.
