January service changes announced for Victoria Regional Transit System

East Sooke route to be altered, route 2 James Bay/South Oak Bay/Willows being split in two

Starting Jan. 3, a number of service changes will be coming to the Victoria Regional Transit System, including an additional route.

An altered route 64 – to be given a new name to replace East Sooke/Sooke – will run on weekdays between East Sooke and the Langford Exchange, via Beecher Bay, starting Tuesday, Jan. 4. The existing 64 mainly runs throughout East Sooke and provides limited service to and from the Langford Exchange.

Several other routes are being adjusted to respond to rider needs and road changes.
