Police have closed Thetis Lake Park as they close in on two suspects they consider armed and dangerous.

The pair are wearing dark clothing and fled police earlier today in the Highlands area.

Police have not confirmed any connection to Tuesday's shooting incident in Sooke and two fugitives, including suspected gunman Joshua Nickolas Lefleur, 25.

Police request that the public report any suspicious people.
