Dump truck rolled over on Otter Point Road.

Otter Point Rd closed due to truck rollover

A dump truck rollover this morning has caused the road to be closed off.

Otter Point Rd is currently closed off between Wadam’s Way and Beaton due to a rollover involving a dump truck earlier this morning. The driver was reportedly taken to the hospital for injuries.

According to first-responders on site, no other vehicles were involved and the driver was alone in the cab.

Authorities advise to use Grant Rd/Pyrite Rd or Rhodenite/Church Rd to get around incident for the time being. A tow/salvage truck has been called in to remove the vehicle out of the ditch while local RCMP is investigating.

No details yet as to what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, however stay tuned for updates.
