The Saanich Board of Education’s strategic plan for 2022-27, in the planning stages for the past year, is nearing completion – community feedback is sought before the draft plan is finalized this spring.

The board is asking the public to participate in a survey to comment on the draft plan, which features four key themes: literacy, Indigenous learner success, mental health and wellness, and citizenship.

More specifically, the plan calls for improving student literacy across the curriculum with a focus on early learning; engaging in practices that deeply support Indigenous students; promoting mental health and well-being through social, emotional learning and trauma-informed practice, and providing opportunities for students to be active global citizens.

Respondents have until Feb. 25 to complete the survey. Visit the Saanich School District website at sd63.bc.ca to submit your feedback.
