Sooke mayor appointed to Canada 150 Community Leaders Network

The networkis to have representatives for celebrations across the country.

Mayor Maya Tait has been appointed Sooke’s representative on the Canada 150 Community Leaders Network.

Canada celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2017.

The network, created by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, is to have representatives for celebrations across the country.

Several events are planned for Sooke in 2017 including the Salmon Festival, which is expected to run over several months.
