A 34-year-old Sooke man faces drug charges following a police investigation.

On Feb. 14 at 8 a.m., Sooke RCMP officers seized 46.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine after responding to a call on Grant Road to investigate “suspicious circumstances” said Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur.

McArthur said the latest meth-related bust is part of an ongoing issue in Sooke.

“Sooke RCMP continue to deal with the devastating effects of Crystal Methamphetamine in the community,” he said. “This drug seems to bring along with it nothing but misery to those it touches directly ... as well as the crime associated brought about by users supporting their habit.”

The suspect has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and was released on a promise to appear in court.
