The vehicle left the roadway at Colwood Corners, striking the construction fencing of a nearby development, and came to a stop just west of Goldstream Avenue.

The vehicle’s two occupants were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital by BC Ambulance.

Colwood Fire Rescue and West Shore RCMP, along with a South Island traffic services collision reconstructionist, were on scene.

Sooke Road was closed from Jerome Road to Goldstream Avenue and traffic was diverted at Kelly Road, with a number of delays in the area.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues and it has not yet been determined if speed, alcohol or drugs were involved but are factors investigators will be considering.
