UPDATED: Traffic flowing on Sooke Road following early morning crash

Crash near Colwood Corners involved hydro pole

Traffic is flowing through Sooke Road after a crash caused a power outage early Monday morning.

According to West Shore RCMP, a driver in a 2010 Chevy Malibu collided head-on with a power pole around 3:10 a.m. Three occupants of the car were taken to hospital but are expected to recover. Alcohol was ruled out, but the driver was issued a ticket for driving without due care.

BC Hydro reported nearly 4,000 customers were without power in the area and into Langford. Crews were able to restore power by noon.
