Incident on the Malahat slows traffic southbound into Victoria

A motor vehicle incident northbound slowed traffic coming into the West Shore Wednesday morning.

Shawnigan Lake Fire and Malahat Fire received a mutual aid call around 6:40 a.m. of a motor vehicle incident, and Malahat crews arrived on scene.

Shawnigan Lake RCMP Sgt. Dave Williams said there was a car travelling northbound that landed in the ditch.

The incident affected Malahat traffic for the third time this week.

The driver sustained minor injuries.
