Two men flee following Sooke McDonald’s robbery attempt

Police say no weapons were involved

RCMP are searching for two men following an attempted robbery at Sooke McDonald’s restaurant on Sunday.

Officers were called to the Sooke Road business at 2:50 a.m. after two men wearing masks forced the McDonald’s employee into a walk-in cooler and tried to break into a safe, but were unsuccessful.

The two fled on foot.

Police say no weapons were involved and the employee was not hurt.
