Two drivers heading down Sooke Road this afternoon found a man lying on the side of the road.
Sooke emergency services responded to a call at the corner of Sooke Road and Belvista Place after 2 p.m. from drivers who pulled over and found the middle-aged man unresponsive and lying on the gravel shoulder.
Const. Christina Klein of Sooke RCMP said one of the drivers started CPR and then handed it off to emergency responders.
She said responders thought they noticed a pulse and breathing before taking the man in ambulance to Royal Jubilee Hospital.
The man’s identity is unknown.
More to come.
