Snow fell throughout the Sooke region leading to a number of minor accidents

A quiet hush comes over the river near the Sooke Potholes as the dusting of snow paints a scenic canvas.

The snow which fell on the South Island over the weekend was a treat for those missing snow.

While it may have made driving a little intense for those not used to driving in the snow, it was fun for kids.

The weather man is calling for snow and flurries throughout the week with an expected 30-40 cm on Wednesday.

Please use caution on the roads during this colder weather.
