UPDATED: Oak Bay police arrest man wanted on Canada-wide warrant

Dustin Tom was wanted Canada-wide after his statutory release was suspended on March 4

Oak Bay police arrested Dustin Tom on Monday after he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant since early March.

Tom is a federal offender who was sentenced on robbery and theft charges and wanted Canada-wide after his statutory release was suspended on March 4. Oak Bay police found and arrested him just after 9 a.m. on March 29 in the 2000-block of Oak Bay Avenue.

Tom remains in custody.
