The West Shore RCMP is exploring the possibility of an ATM theft and an attempted ATM theft in Langford being related, but are still investigating.
On Thursday, police released more footage of an ATM theft that took place at a convenience store on Happy Valley Road in the early hours of Feb. 9.
Surveillance footage shows two suspects breaking into the store at approximately 3:48 a.m. In the footage, one of the suspects is seen hauling an ATM outside the door on a dolly.
One of the suspects from the incident was wearing a baseball cap, jacket and long pants. The other was wearing a hoodie with the hood up, a winter jacket with a possible fur-collared hood and long pants.

One week earlier, on Feb. 2 just after 5 a.m., police received a report from an employee of a convenience store on West Shore Parkway.
Police said the employee reported an unknown male running into the store and placing a tow wire — which was attached to a white F150 truck — around the ATM inside. Police said the suspect then ran back to the truck and attempted to haul the ATM away using the rope.
The attempt failed when the tow wire snapped and the suspect took off empty-handed, according to police.
In March 2017, the West Shore RCMP was looking to identify two suspects involved in a smash and grab ATM theft at the Shell gas station on West Shore Parkway near the Trans-Canada Highway in Langford.
Video surveillance from the incident showed a white Ford F250 truck smashing through the storefront in reverse. Two suspects — believed to be men — dislodged the ATM from the back wall and loaded it into the truck bed.

The truck was located in Goldstream Provincial Park later and it was confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from Shawnigan Lake area.
West Shore RCMP confirmed that the convenience store on West Shore Parkway where the Feb. 9 incident took place is not the same Shell gas station.
The suspects from the 2017 incident are still outstanding, with no identification of the suspects or arrests made.
“At this point, there is nothing to link the 2017 incident to the ones in 2019, other than the obvious ATM being the stolen item,” said Const. Nancy Saggar of West Shore RCMP.
Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying the three suspects in the investigations from Feb. 9 and Feb. 2.
