Allan was born in Kilbarchan Scotland, immigrated to Canada in 1975 with his wife Dorothy (nee Condie) they settled in Sooke and started Allan Tait Excavating.
He was predeceased by his father Alexander Tait, Mother Margaret (Peggy) (nee Maitland) and his brother Jackie Tait. He will be greatly missed by Dorothy his wife of 54 years who held his hand as he died after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his older brother Alexander Tait, nephews, and nieces in Scotland.
Allan was a talented artist; he painted, and played several instruments. He loved all animals. A private scattering of ashes will be held at a later date. Many thanks to Dr. Rabien, Community Health Services, Sooke Hospice and Hospice at Ayre Manor, their support and care was truly appreciated.
