It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barb White, on February 28, 2012 at the age of 76. Barb passed away suddenly in Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. Left to mourn are her loving son Brad (Nancy), daughter Kim, daughters-in-law Cindy and Fiona and grandchildren Brittany, Brady, Brodie, Paige, Taylor, Jordon, Josh, Cailum, Vicki & Sarah.
Barb was a very proud charter member of the Sooke Harbourside Lions. She was well known in the community as she did her “Penny Runs” picking up pennies in the businesses and schools. And of course her favourite role as #1 Hot Dog Lady where she visited with friends and neighbours every Saturday in the summer.
A gathering will take place on Saturday, March 10th from 2pm ‘til 4pm at the Sooke Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 54, upstairs. Please come and join in with those who loved and knew Barb. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Jubilee Hospital Cardiac Unit.
