Dorothy was born in Edmonton Alberta, and spent most of her life in Vancouver, with some years in Toronto and eventually settling on Vancouver Island. First in the Comox Valley, then Victoria, and finally Sooke, always searching for that perfect beach to live near. Dot worked for 28 years with Service Canada and gleefully retired in September 2015.

Dorothy spent her happiest days with her family, friends, and cats. She taught World Dance, was a frequent host for people from all over the world. Volunteered for many organizations. There are few music festivals on Vancouver Island where you would not see Dorothy dancing stage right or behind the scenes helping.

She was a free spirit with an open and loving heart and had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. Her generosity, legendary.

Dorothy leaves behind her treasured daughter Marlene, her loving mother and best friend Arlene, beloved siblings Ramon, Darryl, Trudy, Trina, and Don, Aunt Lee, Uncle Roger, many cousins, and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her precious son Julian and her father David.

Leaving behind many friends and dance partners, our angel has departed to her next adventure.
