It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we must announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Gerald Nicholas Davies (Ger, Gerry) on June 23, 2024 at the young age of 55.
Born in Victoria, BC, Gerald was the youngest of six children born to Gerald and Roberta Davies. Gerald was well known and loved by all in his childhood community of Sooke and in the Western Communities where he spent most of his adult life.
After graduation he went on to become a heavy-duty mechanic for many years, while also taking on drywall jobs. Doing drywall opened up a new world for him, building and developing. He worked hard and thrived with developing properties and projects he took on as a self-employed contractor.
Over Gerald's life he welcomed four children into the world, two from each of his marriages. His spunk for life was undeniable, and like none other, he seized every opportunity to live his life to the fullest. In his spare time he would often be found golfing, fishing, boating, traveling, listening to live music, spending weekends at Lake Cowichan, all in the company of family and close friends.
He was loved by everyone lucky enough to join his adventure of life. He will be missed by many but his memories will forever be held close to our hearts as I know it will be for many others as well.
Gerald was predeceased by, his father Gerald Davies, brother Steven Davies, nephew Ken Davies. He will be sadly missed by, son Tyler Davies (Nekole) granddaughter Hali, daughter Autumn Minshull (Brandon) granddaughter Harley, grandson Lincoln, daughter Katie Davies and daughter Macy Davies. Mother Roberta Davies. Siblings, Russel Davies, Trudy Pearson (Kevin), Rosemary Calnan (Chris), Darlene Foote (David) and sister-in-law Christina Davies. As well as countless nieces, nephews and numerous other family members and close friends.
Please join the family and friends of Gerald Nicholas Davies on August 18th, 2024 at the Sooke Community Hall. Address 2037 Shields Rd, Sooke, BC V9Z 1A5. For a celebration of life between 2pm-5pm.
