October 18, 1945 - June 7, 2018
It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the passing of a wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend of many.
Jackie fought a short painful battle with cancer and passed on to a pain free existence on June 7th, 2018 at Ayre Manor Hospice.
Jackie leaves behind a loving husband Colin, her daughter Christine son in-law Drew Carmichael) and two wonderful granddaughters, from her son Colin, Alyssa and Caeleigh Davenport. She also leaves behind her two sons Colin and Paul.
Jackie moved to Sooke 20 years ago with her husband Colin and immediately started to volunteer in many ways: The Coast Guard Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, Sooke Legion, Sooke Fine Arts. Visited people in Ayre Manor with her little dog.
Jackie enjoyed walking and swimming. Made friends with everyone she met and got lots of people involved with the swimming at Seaparc. The only friends she did not have where those that had never been fortunate enough to meet her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sooke Legion on July 8th starting at 1:00 pm.
