BANNER, Jeanne Kathleen (nee Smith)
January 21, 1938 – July 19, 2017
Jean passed away peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) of 60 years, daughters Kathleen Potvin (Steve), Lynda, and sons Raymond (Lena), Ken (Teresa), Greg (Shannon), sisters Pat (Fred) Switzer, Cindy (Danny) Heggelund, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Genevieve and Alan, brothers Alan (Bud), Dennis (Jock) Smith, sons Dale Patrick and Steven Robert.
Born and raised in Saseenos, Jean lived in Sooke her entire life. She loved spending time with her large family, gardening, baking, sports, and the beach. Jean will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
There will be a private church service and family gathering to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sooke Minor Fastball Association.
