Joan Patricia Harrison (nee Money) passed away peacefully February 18, 2010 at Vancouver’s St Paul’s Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Survived by her loving husband Ken of 49 years, sister Jean, children Nancy, Wendy and Scott and grandchildren Nathan, Sean, Rusty, Fiona, Emily, Erica, Ethan and Amelia. Predeceased by parents Tom and Margaret, and brothers Bobby and Jim.
Joan was born in Victoria in 1941, grew up in Sooke on a small farm on Medberry Close and graduated from Edward Milne High School in 1959. Joan was particularly fond of puttering in her flower garden, baking, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering with her church and walking her beloved Dachshunds.
A memorial service will be held at Garden City United Church, 4054 Carey Road, Victoria, BC, at 1:00 February 27, 2010. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of a donation to World Vision.
