In Loving Memory ~
Beloved father, husband, son, brother, friend.
Les grew up in Victoria and spent many summers at the family cabin in Shawnigan Lake. He moved to Sooke in 1992 living in the house he built for his family and continuing to make great memories at the Shawnigan cabin with the next generation.
He devoted time to Sooke Minor Hockey and Sooke Minor Fastball with Emily's and Iain's teams and travelled to tournaments all over B.C.
Les was an accomplished carpenter and craftsman renowned for his woodworking projects, renovations and creating many custom houses. He loved fishing, making beautiful things in his workshop and cruise vacations.
Les was loved by many who found him to be a genuinely nice person. The past year had been challenging after a stroke and Les was able to enjoy time with family and friends, fishing and a cruise to Alaska this year.
Les will be missed by his loving wife Cheri, daughter Emily, son Iain and daughter in law Leah, father Ian, brothers Don (Gretha), Alan (Heather), sister Jeanette (Brian) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Ethel.
The family thanks everyone for their support.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 10am at First Memorial, Royal Oak, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sooke Food Bank.
