In loving memory ~
Zuke (age 89) loved fishing, hunting, Crown Royal Whiskey, beer, Hockey Night in Canada, and the Canadian Legion meat draw, but not necessarily in that order. He entered this world with two loving parents George and Mary (nee Chibano ), his sister Doris (Collins) and brother Frank (both predeceased) in Glendon, Alberta. Zuke was a gifted artist and athlete. He had to explain to people that no, he didn't spell his own name wrong, and yes, that's really Bill on the birth certiffcate and yes, he was affectionately known as "Zuke" to his friends and "Lloydie" to his mom. Or as his beautiful wife of 68 years Beverley (nee Mason) fondly called him in her Ontario accent "Zeke".
He was Dad to his wildly wonderful daughter Sherry (Brian), and two handsome sons Kerry (Tracy) and Tracy. To his six gorgeous granddaughters, Terryn, Kelsea, Brianne, Bryce, Autumn, and Allyssa he was known as Papa who excitedly attended fastball games, dance recitals, swimming lessons, gymnastics, and school events. Zuke loved to volunteer at the Bowser Legion and drive his big rig truck for CP Rail, Heaney's Yard, Johnston Terminals, and Thrifty Foods. Vancouver Island was his outdoor playground, and he enjoyed his homes in Langford, Saanich, Bowser and Sooke. We raise a glass in honour of our husband, Dad, Papa, and friend.
We miss you so much! There is no special ceremony by family request.
