October 5, 1918 - August 10, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Mabel announces the passing of their beautiful matriarch. Born in Lacombe, Alberta on October 5, 1918. Mabel passed on August 10, 2018, two months prior to her 100th birthday.
Pre-deceased by her husband Dick, her daughter Linda, and her grandson Kory. Survived by seven children, 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and eight great-great -grandchildren. A true pioneering woman who enjoyed time with her family and friends, digging in her garden, kicking up her heels square dancing, or spending time fishing with her husband.
Mabel was always ready for a fast game of cards or a rousing game of ball. Known for her delicious pies, breads and cinnamon buns. Mabel was loved by all who met her for her generous spirit and sense of humour. Mabel will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 24th at 2:00 pm at First Memorial Services, 4725 Falaise Drive in Victoria, BC.
