Margaret Jean Frend (Hardy) born in Scotland May 15, 1934, passed away on October 27, 2018 with family by her side.
Margaret moved to Canada in her 20's and settled in Vancouver. She dedicated her life to helping people. First as a nurse and then as a full time volunteer when she retired to Sooke with her husband, until moving back to the mainland in 2003.
Margaret spent her days volunteering in her community or with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known and loved by us all as 'Nana'.
Margaret was preceded in death by her sister Nessie, husband Cliff, step-son Rob and grand- daughter Jacqueline. She is survived by her brother Willie, brother-in-law Jim and many nieces and nephews, her daughter-in-law Pam, grandchildren Danielle and Robert, great- grandchildren Elijah, Treydon, Matteus and Milana, the Lunot family and her many friends.
