Marianne Pichler

November 15, 1930 – May 28, 2022
In loving memory ~
Marianne passed away peacefully at Ed’s House Hospice in Cobourg, Ontario with her daughters by her side.
Marianne is now reunited with her soul mate of 52 years Joseph Frederick (Fritz). She is predeceased by her siblings Corolla, Edith, Siegfried, Ursula, Wolfgang and grandson Kevin. She is survived by her sister Sieglinde and her brother Martin. She was a wonderful mother and will be remembered by children, Beatrice Hodgson (Christopher), Ellen Abramczyk (Nicholas), Bruce (Christiane) and Peter (Evelyn Dahino). A loving, caring and generous grandmother (Oma) who will be sadly missed by Daniel (Amy), Stephen (Julie), Nicole Ruso (Vincenzo), Ursula, Maxine (Roy Lore ce), Jennifer Ferrieu (Alban), Ronny Lengert (Janene) and Victoria. Great- grandmother (Uroma) to eleven exceptional great-grandchildren, Matthew, Stella, Francesco, John, Levi, Roy Jr., Heloise, Emeric, Adelie, Silas and Jasper.
She had diverse interests, participating in several community groups, and supporting a variety of cultural and social events in both British Columbia and Ontario. She lived her values and was an example of how to live without judging, be truly kind and grateful. We thank her for this. She had a huge “fan club” of friends, wherever she lived, and a large family who cherished her. We will all miss her and are blessed to have had the time we had with her.
As in her life, she kept things simple upon her passing. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marianne’s memory may be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre (www.edshouse.northumberlandhospice.ca).
