Mary Helene Barwis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma and| Great Grandma Mary Helene Barwis on Feb 2, 2017 at Ayre Manor in Sooke, BC. She was predeceased by her sweetie Dewey Ira Charles (Dic) Barwis in Dec/22/2009, and her last surviving sibling, twin brother Hugh Halladay on Dec/18/2016. She leaves her loving sons Richard Hugh Barwis (Betsy), Terrence Barwis (Kathy) and daughter Levina Merle Barwis, grandchildren, Deanna, Tara, Brett and Rebecca, step grand daughter Dana, great grand children, Luke, Rylan, Taelor, Jackson, Maegan, Matt, Beau, Madilynne and Jesse and step great grand children Eryka and Andrew. Over the years, Helene was very involved in the Sooke community including the Holy Trinity Church, Girl Guides, Meals on Wheels and Mothers Union. In appreciation she was presented with a Volunteer Recipient Award in 2013 from the District of Sooke. Helene was quietly the most kind and considerate soul to all who knew her. She loved her family and her family loved her, she will be forever missed but will remain in our hearts.
