Sadly, our Mom passed away peacefully at home surrounded with love.
Mom was a loving wife, mother, grandmother/great-grandmother, and an amazing friend, who adored spending time with all of her grandchildren and family.
Mom was a long time Sooke resident who also spent many years in Tahsis. Throughout the years between Tahsis and Sooke, she touched many people's lives, bringing only happiness and joy. Mom was the kindest of souls and would do anything for anyone to make their lives better.
During mom's retirement, she enjoyed working in her yard with her husband Keith. Enjoying their beautiful view and watching the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed going on road trips with Keith to visit their friends and family.
Pre-deceased by her loving husband, Keith Nichol, her parents, James, and Nan Duncan and her brother James (Jimmy) Duncan.
Mom will be dearly missed by her son, Don, her daughter, Sherrie (Gary), daughter, Laurie (Russ), daughter, Kristie (John) and 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also, all of her extended family and friends.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, Sooke Hospice, Sooke Loan Cupboard and our amazing caregivers and volunteers, who cared for and supported Mom and our family through this difficult time.
Mom will always be remembered as a kind, loving, caring, angel, and the glue of our family.
We are all better people for having her in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that you make a donation to giving@alzheimerbc.org
