Norine Alyce (nee Vidito) McCluskey

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing, at home, of Norine McCluskey after a courageous struggle with cancer. Her family and loved ones at her side.


Norine was born in Margrettesville, Nova Scotia and raised by her parents Ronald and Nora Vidito.


Norine is survived by her husband Murray of 49 years, and two children, Teri Black, of Sooke, B.C. and Stephen (Rosemary) McCluskey of Kingston, Ontario. Also left to mourn her loss are three grandchildren, Angela Black of Victoria, B.C. and Sarah and Sean McCluskey of Kingston, Ontario.


She leaves her Brothers Joseph, Arthur and David Vidito and Sisters Shirley Prescott, Ardine Vidito, Sylvia Dixon and Debra Mount. Also many nieces, nephews, Brother and Sisters in-lawsplus special friends.


Norine loved gardening, photography and all the creatures that visited her yard. She was above all a caring and loving wife, mother, nana and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


She traveled with her husband throughout his military career and enjoyed Motor homing within Canada and the USA.


A special thanks to Dr, Forsberg, staff, Sooke Hospice and Carol Harding and all who attended her on her journey.

Also a big Thank You to her Niece, Sarah Hughes, who was present at Norine’s passing.


No service was requested, but a Celebration of her life will be arranged at a future date and place.


Norine requested that donations be made in her memory to the Sooke Hospice or a charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
