With great sadness we announce that Patricia Marie Hoggan (nee Durdle) passed away suddenly April 22, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband James, her sons Andrew and Patrick (Frances), her grandson Sawyer; her brother Michael (Sandra), her sisters Sally (Randy), Mary (Darrell), Teresa (Scott), and Anita; nieces and nephews Andrea (Sarah) and Katryna (Brian); Alex (Kathryn) and Laura; Fallon and Kyle; and many great-nieces and -nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her parents Margaret Power 1995 and Joseph Durdle 2021, and her special Uncle Andrew 1996 and Aunt Mary Power 2009.
Pat was born July 5, 1952 in St John's, Newfoundland. She moved around the world as part of a Canadian military family. She met and married her husband in 1983, and they eventually settled in Sooke to raise their family. Pat cared for people as a Long Term Care Aide, then worked in children's Day Care for many years. Many of the young adults in Sooke today knew and loved her as children. She was a long-serving religious educator for the St Rose of Lima Church, and volunteered her time and love to her community.
Pat loved her family above all else, with a special place in her heart for her grandson Sawyer.
