September 17, 1949 - July 16, 2019
Ruth passed away suddenly on the morning of July 16th. She was predeceased by her father Vic Montaldi and her mother Isabel Montaldi. She leaves behind her daughters Nadine (Michael) Joyce, Yvonne (John) Bekaert, her grandson Rowan Joyce and her brother Doug Montaldi. As well, she leaves behind many friends and acquaintances throughout the province, having been born in Burns Lake, BC where she attended primary and secondary school, having lived many years in Prince George, BC raising her daughters and later establishing Sooke, BC as her long term residence.
Ruth was a very spiritual and religious person, who at one time was hoping to become an ordained Anglican priest. She eventually found her calling helping others, spending many years ministering to and advocating for people who have physical and/or financial issues. Ruth was always available, if needed, to listen and offer advice and prayers. She was well liked and respected, be it, a stranger on the street, senior individuals in the Provincial Government or members of the Anglican Diocese. Many people were helped and healed through contact with Ruth. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for her, at a later date.
