Trump’s approval worst of any president, says letter-writer

Re: Column devoid of originality (Letters, May 31)

I read John Pimm’s letter calling me a leftie.

While most editors I know are happy to get response to columns good or bad, I feel the need to respond in this particular instance.

Left-handed compliments aside, with all due respect to the Americans he’s been talking to, the fact is that the self-proclaimed greatest president since Teddy Roosevelt’s current approval rating is the lowest of any president since they started tracking that sort of stat.
