I don’t think it’s a great idea for Victoria to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games at a cost of $955-million, with $400 million coming from the taxpayers of Canada and B.C.
Instead, we should be thinking about the people burned out of their homes around B.C. and the homeless in Greater Victoria area.
If the Victoria bid committee wishes to put its money in to the Games that’s fine, I might find a few dollars to help.
