LETTER: Horse ‘brake’ much appreciated

I want to thank the many courteous drivers who safely stop on the 5400 block of Sooke Road to let me cross to Cherry Lane Equine with my horse. Sometimes we are accompanied by my daughter with her miniature horses.

Sooke Road has become a scary crossing for us over the past few years.

Thank you so much for helping us cross safely and not passing behind us until we are off the highway.

We each wear a safety vest to increase our visibility, and I have recently made a safety vest for my horse as well.
