Has anyone else had a problem with the taxis that serve the Swartz Bay ferry terminal not wanting to take passengers to Sidney?

Yes, we have a good bus service into town but emerging from the terminal at night in a rainstorm and tired from a long day at a medical clinic in Vancouver, I wanted to get home quickly. I do understand that cab drivers hope for more lucrative long-distance fares but we can’t all live on Dallas Road. I don’t expect to be made to feel guilty about requesting a ride to a Sidney address.
