Letters: Bikers win

Sooke Bike Skills Park aided by movie night proceeds

A huge thank you to the District of Sooke, Laura Byrne and Steve Sorensen for giving the Sooke Bike Club the opportunity to raise our profile and some funds through the Starlight Cinema in Ed Macgregor Park on Saturday night.

Movie-goers generously donated at the gate and then bought goodies at the concession. Profits of $320 will help the Sooke Bike Club build a state of the art bike skills park near city hall and purchase necessary insurance.

The park will be suitable for riders of all skill levels. Anyone interested in being part of the fun can find us on Facebook.com/SookeBikeClub.
