Letters: Community newspapers do it right

Letter writer is impressed by coverage given by Sooke News Mirror

I just wanted to thank the Sooke News Mirror as well as the person who wrote the article last week in regards to my talk coming up tomorrow evening in Sooke for the local gardening club about native bees. This person did a stellar job of not only reporting accurate and up-to-date information, but gleaned just the right amount of information to make for an interesting read.

As I read lots of articles from interviews etc. that I give, I’m always impressed at how some of the so-called ‘smaller’ community newspapers do such an outstanding job of reporting the facts.

I just felt compelled to pass on my thanks on this matter and that I look forward to speaking to a captive group of interested locals in Sooke. Thanks so much.
