Letter to editor Sooke News Mirror, Wednesday, Nov. 21 (Silence is Golden)
I too was caught unaware that the two minutes of silence had begun and was chatting to the very nice lady behind me as we tried to find our place in the line of wreath presenters.
I would not dream of been disrespectful of our veterans and those who were lost in war. It’s just that the people in my immediate area did not hear the announcement.
As for the ladies (Lions) in white, I can assure you they are of the highest integrity. Look at page 18 of the same edition, those are the ladies in white spearheading the Toys for Kids program in Sooke.
