Letters: Geneology request

Letter writer is seeking information on distant relative

My name is Mark Cameron.  I live in Edinburgh, Scotland and am looking for help from the good people of Sooke.

I’ve been tracking a remarkable relative of mine while carrying out my genealogical search. I recently discovered he died in Sooke in 1976 and was survived by his wife, daughter and five grandchildren. I wondered if you might be able to help by including my request for information in your publication?

I’m looking for information about a distant relative of mine – Alexander Douglas Cameron, who lived in Woodland Road, Sooke until his death in 1976.  He was survived by his wife Florence, a daughter Margaret (who was married to Kenneth Loucks) and his five grandchildren.

If anyone has any information about Alexander or his family I would be really grateful to hear from them as this would be a great help in my family research. Please drop me an email – mcdryburn@yahoo.co.uk
