LETTERS: Rickter Scale says adios

Much to the chagrin of a few and cheers from many, the Rickter Scale has set sail for the West Shore to run in the Goldstream News Gazette. It’s been a pleasure and privilege to have contributed an irregular column to the readers of the Sooke News Mirror for three odd years.

Much to the chagrin of a few and cheers from many, the Rickter Scale has set sail for the West Shore to run in the Goldstream News Gazette. It’s been a pleasure and privilege to have contributed an irregular column to the readers of the Sooke News Mirror for three odd years.

I will always be grateful to publisher Rod Sluggett and editor Kevin Laird for the opportunity to share my writing, ramblings and rants with the people in the great community I call home.

Vickie, Kim, Ryan and Randi are a great group to work with and made me feel welcome whenever I ventured through the door to run an idea by Kevin or fill in as a reporter. I believe the Mirror is in good hands, and the future is much brighter than it’s cracked up to be.

Thanks to all the folks who took the time to weigh in on the column; they say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
