Letters: Sirens needed

Letter writer points out need for warning system in Jordan River

BC Hydro says that they can’t decommission the Jordan River dam because we need the power it produces. I’m scratching my head, wondering where that power will come from if an earthquake does breach the dam.

They had warning sirens during the war and at least into the 50s. Why couldn’t there be something like that to warn residents and overnight campers. People would know to be prepared to get out immediately if they heard the siren.
