Letters: Trip down Memory Lane

Former Sooke residents likes old photos provided by historical society

I am writing to tell you how in 1955 my father, Andy Foley, had many of the “boys” in the grad picture of June 26 on his Sookefootball team.

Great to remember these players, Norma Essery, Danny Lajeunesse, Dave McClimon and Dennis Hird. Sorry I missed some of you, but you did Sooke proud as you represented Sooke in the B.C. Champions softball that year in Kamloops.

Dad and mom are gone but we are still the “Baseball Nine” kids of theirs, now all living on the Island.

Thanks for the memory of 1955,

Adele Morley (Foley)
