Promises undelivered

Letters

udos to your young reader Elena for her letter “Missing the Cedars.”

I, along with many friends, have been thinking the same thing for the longest time.

I remember clearly reading in the letters column of the Sooke News Mirror a year (or two) ago, here the builder of that monstrosity stated to the community that he had every intention of making it a “living wall.”  Well, where is it?

There is a responsibility to the community here that was promised, but never delivered.  That stark grey wall further detracts from an already relatively drab town centre. It looks like a mausoleum and, as such, I would like to submit the attached photo (above) of the “Cedar Grave Centre” which I feel encapsulates this, and associated issues, in a succinct way.
