An away fixture on the weekend against first place Vantreights saw the Loggers get dumped by a quick and youthful Vantreights side 3-0.

“Vantreights scored three goals again, the same score we lost to them in the season opener,” recalls Porter.

“We haven’t yet reached our full potential,” says Porter, “but clearly we are on a slow and steady march forward.”

At the moment, the Sooke Loggers are currently tied for second in the league, so they are in great shape.

Loggers next game is Saturday night away against Gorge at Hampton Park 8 p.m. kick-off.
