Eleven Sooke runners competed at the Cobble Hill 10K last Sunday.

Jonathan Dvorak led all local racers with a time of 42:22, while three Sooke runners placed in individual age divisions.

Robert Butterworth took second in the Men’s 75-79 division, followed by Bruce Hawkes in third.

Luke Spycher was third in the Men’s 1-15 category.

Jevin Monds (33:31) from Edmonton won the race, while Erin Burrett (34:59) from Nanaimo triumphed in the women’s race.

The Cobble Hill 10K is part of the Island Race Series. The next race in the series is the Sooke River 10K on Feb. 5.
