Sooke MP Randall Garrison voiced his opposition to the Kinder Morgan pipeline project last week telling protesters outside his Saanich office: “Kinder Morgan should never have been approved. The seven-fold increase in tanker traffic through our waters is not something that we can accept.”

Meanwhile, federal Green Party leader and MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands, Elizabeth May and New Democrat MP Kennedy Stewart got arrested while protesting the project.
