Edward Milne Community School students collected 13, 543 food items last night during 10,000 Tonight.

Students from EMCS, Royal Bay and Belmont secondary schools take part in the event as a fundraiser for the Sooke and Goldstream food banks. It’s the largest school-based non-perishable food drive in Greater Victoria.

It’s called 10,000 Tonight because that’s how many items students hoped to collect.
