Vancouver Island Regional Library will host a public consultation for a new library on Wadams Way in Sooke on May 2.
The consultation will include presentations from library staff and the project architects, and will provide opportunities for the public to contribute their ideas and have their questions answered.
The meeting is at Sooke Community Hall from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
VIRL has approval to borrow a maximum of $6 million towards all costs of site preparation and construction, with the goal of building a 10,000-square-foot facility. The current facility is 3,600 sq. ft.
The public consultation is open to everyone. Light refreshments will be provided.
